Cookie Policy

In addition to cookies, OttoCentral may also use similar browser technologies such as local storage and session storage. This policy also covers such technologies; together they are referred to as 'cookies'.

OttoCentral organizes cookies into the following four categories by function:

• Strictly necessary cookies: These are required for the service to work. They provide session management, authentication, security and the memory of your cookie preference. We do not ask for consent for these; disabling them prevents the service from functioning.
• Functional cookies: These remember your preferences (such as language and theme). They are not required for the core functions of the service; you may disable them, in which case parts of the service will operate on baseline defaults.
• Analytics cookies: These help us understand which pages are visited, which features are used and which errors are encountered. Analytics cookies are not used inside the OttoCentral application; they run only on the ottocentral.com marketing site and only with your prior explicit consent.
• Marketing cookies: These may be used to reach out to you on the site or on third-party platforms based on your interests. We only place marketing cookies with your prior explicit consent.

The table below lists the first-party cookies set by OttoCentral, their function, duration and category. For third-party cookies see Section 4.

In certain parts of the service, cookies belonging to third-party providers you choose to use may be placed on your browser. Such cookies are subject to the privacy policy of the relevant third party; OttoCentral's control is limited.

The first time you visit OttoCentral, a cookie preferences panel is shown. Strictly necessary cookies are described there; you may separately consent to or reject functional, analytics and marketing cookies.

You may update your consent preference at any time via the 'Cookie preferences' link in the site footer.

Cookies in categories you do not consent to are not loaded. An option to disable strictly necessary cookies is not offered, because they are required for the service to function.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies or to restrict permission to specific sites. Locations of help pages for common browsers are summarized below:

• Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
• Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Mozilla Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

OttoCentral detects the 'Do Not Track' (DNT) and 'Global Privacy Control' (GPC) signals sent by your browser. When these signals are active, analytics and marketing cookies are treated as rejected by default, unless your explicit consent indicates otherwise.

This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect changes to legislation or to the OttoCentral service. The current version is published on this page together with its effective date.
